Hatchville Fire Station

Project Description

The new Hatchville Fire Station on Sandwich Road in Falmouth, MA is a 14,000 square-foot facility built to ensure the public safety of the growing Town of Falmouth. This fire station includes a 3-bay apparatus garage, full kitchen, gym, and sleeping quarters.  The Fire Atation is up to date with an energy efficient SIPS panel roofing system along with a state-of-the-art solar panel system.  To blend in with its surrounding community, the facility was built in a Cape style with split-face block and James Hardie siding.

Long lead times on generators and electrical equipment presented challenges, as did the building envelope system, which required many steps to ensure it was done per the specifications.  Despite these challenges, the project was successfully completed in 16 months.  Tower was able to work closely with subcontractors, the OPM, and the Town of Falmouth to ensure the project’s success and leave the Town with a result they are happy with.
